Privacy Policy

Intelligent Planning Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and has deliberately built this site to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Website analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly which country they are in, and which sites refer them. It is privacy-first by design:

• No cookies and no stored client-side state.
• No fingerprinting and no cross-site or cross-session tracking.
• It does not make your IP address available to us. Cloudflare uses your IP transiently to count a visit and derive a country, and does not retain it for this product.

The data it records — page URL, referrer, country, browser, operating system, device type and page-load performance — is aggregate and does not identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Anonymous tool-usage counter

When you open one of our browser tools, the page adds one to a simple per-tool counter on our server. We store only a running total per tool — no IP address, no browser details, no timestamp, no cookie, nothing that identifies you. It exists purely so we know which tools are worth maintaining.

The tools and your files

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. The files you open (Primavera P6 XER, MS Project XML, and so on) are read and processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else — we never see their contents. Some tools offer an optional local-AI feature that, only if you switch it on, downloads an AI model to your browser from a third-party CDN (Cloudflare / Hugging Face); even then, your schedule data stays in your browser and is not sent anywhere.

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you submit so that we can reply. To prevent spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly alternative to CAPTCHA; on the contact page only, Turnstile may set a strictly necessary cookie or read limited browser signals solely to tell humans from bots. We use your message only to respond to you and keep a record of the correspondence — we do not add you to any marketing list. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Messages are delivered and stored through our email provider.

Server logs and security

Like any website, our host keeps standard web-server logs that briefly record IP addresses and requested URLs for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a short period and used only to operate and protect the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the site’s security.

Cookies

We set no cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. The only cookie that may be placed is a strictly necessary one from Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact page, for anti-spam. Because we use no non-essential cookies, this site shows no cookie-consent banner.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of processors to run the site:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — cookieless Web Analytics and Turnstile anti-spam.
• Our web host — hosting and standard server logs.
• Our email provider — delivering and storing contact-form messages.

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.

International transfers

Some of our processors are based in the United States. Where personal data is processed outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

• Analytics: aggregate only, retained by Cloudflare under its own retention policy; contains no personal data.
• Tool counter: kept indefinitely, but it is only numbers.
• Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records, then deleted.
• Server logs: short retention, set by our host.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email tim@intelligent-planning.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
